I’m just going to start by saying, I miss the 80’s. It was a simpler time, people didn’t let petty little things hurt their feelers and political correctness had never even been heard of. Had this song been written and released now it would never have seen air time. A trend I am seeing, especially among bloggers, is a sense of entitlement. A lot of bloggers feel that they don’t “work” for the designers they represent but I beg to differ. When you fill out an application to become an official blogger of a brand, you agree to certain rules, to represent the brand to the best of your ability, and to showing said creators items to your readers. When you fail to do this and the post is rejected, you cry foul. I am simply going to say, if you don’t want to work for a designer and follow the rules set forth, then remove yourself from the group, buy the stuff you want to blog as a hobby and quit your entitled bitching and complaining. Okay, enough with my soapbox this morning, it’s just something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately and wanted to voice my opinion.
I got accepted to blog for a brand new event called Hanger Monthly and I’ll be perfectly honest, it was a challenge to represent the two items I chose for today’s blog. I tried several different poses, hairs, backgrounds, etc before I found the perfect look. This tattoo is available from Frida Tattoo during the opening round of Hangar and it is very detailed. It covers from neck to mid-waist including the nipple area and down the arms to wrap around your back, it’s bright and colorful but the pictures detail a much more sinister story. Hangar runs from the 15th of the current month until the 10th of the following month each month.

Finding a top that showed the tattoo off and preserves my dignity at the same time, but I found it with this tank top from Spirit. Available right now at Collabor88, this is an entire outfit you can purchase individually, individual fatpacks, or as an entire set including sweater, tank top, and skirt. Although, I love the sweater and skirt I really only needed the tank top so here it is. I did purchase the fatpack which comes with one additional exclusive color. This top comes with fits for Maitreya, Belleza Isis and Freya, and Slink Hourglass only.

After trying 3 different poses I finally decided on the Girl Next Door pose set from Image Essentials. This set includes 5 poses plus mirrors and is available at Designer Showcase. These poses are not only sweet but a little bit sassy too!

My friend Brennan sometimes finds things I’m not even aware of and occasionally I benefit from his shopping habits. The Matsuri Event is a Japanese-inspired event that runs the entire month of October and Brennan picked up these amazing backdrops from Bitter Vanilla while there. They have a built-in texture change options for so many possibilities.
