Chantilly Lace

I woke up this morning to a notification on Facebook that my previous blog post had been marked as spam or against community standards and was removed, there is nothing in that blog or picture that is against community standards and sometimes Facebook makes me want to rip my hair out. I’ve countered them as it not being spam but who knows when they will pull their heads out and stop attacking people who portray themselves as avatars on Facebook. I don’t know about you, but I spend far more time on my SL Facebook than I do on my RL Facebook, I click ads, by things, watch videos, see what’s trending on this page than I ever will on my RL page.
I didn’t start out taking these pictures yesterday with the intent of slamming Facebook or the community standards protocols but it is what it is. What I did intend on doing is posting a picture of some amazing finds from Vintage Fair, Collabor88 and so much more, so that’s what I am going to do. I have to admit that I love being a blogger, one of the best parts is getting early access to events, shopping lag-free and getting my hands on the amazing creations that Second Life designers put together. I don’t get early access to everything, but that’s ok I still love shopping, it is definitely one of my biggest hobbies in Second Life. Blogging for me isn’t being sponsored and getting freebies, it is an outlet for my photography and a way to give you a glimpse of the stunning things that people make that I could not do in a million years, I know it’s not my forte to create, I’ve tried.

Vintage Fair opened on June 10 and there are some absolutely amazing things. This dress is just one example of the things you can find at Vintage Fair. Kaithleen’s released this dress for Vintage Fair and I have always loved the Rockabilly, Pinup, 50’s style. I had to have this dress. Each color comes with a solid and polka dot version with a HUD to change the frill. It is an absolutely stunning rendition.

With the right dress found I needed the perfect shoes to compliment it and who else but Breathe would have just the right shoes? I love these shoes so much I skipped right over the individual colors and went straight for the fatpack, I love shoes so much, maybe it’s because I can only wear flats in RL. Whatever my shoe obsession is creators like Breathe bring my love of shoes to life.

My first go round of the Vintage Fair I saw this cool pose with an amazing 50’s cherry red T-bird. I didn’t buy it when I saw it because I wasn’t sure at first when or how I would use it, but then I got my hands on the Lucky’s Drive-In set from unKindness at Collabor88.  I went back to Vintage knowing what I was looking for, but I couldn’t for the life of me remember who had made this pose. Two days I wandered aimlessly, (ok nothing so dramatic) to find the stunning T-bird.

Another reason I had to go to Vintage Fair was this hair, from Mina the soft pink curls with the wavy, long locks is just gorgeous. The moment I saw this hair I knew I had to have it.

I blog for 7 Deadly Skins as an official blogger, I was digging through my skin packs and realized I had the skin available at Vintage Fair as well, how perfect? Farrah comes in two tone sets, light/medium and tanned/dark. This skin is based on the AK mesh head but I’m wearing it on my Catwa Catya bento mesh head. This is an omega head applier and does include the omega body appliers.

My friend Lizz Avon, a fabulous photographer and makeup designer in Second Life, my super sweet boyfriend had purchased me a couple of her eyeshadows previously and I had blogged the eyeshadow made for Les Fest, then Lizz messaged me and asked me to be an official blogger for her. I am honored she would choose me to showcase her fabulous makeup. Today I have two items from her, eyelashes and eyeshadow.
